It would appear that most of the Canadian Roszel's that we have come across are descendants of Charles Roszel. Since the bulk of all the Roszel's we find share a common ancestor this would make Charles Roszel the patriarch or the Father of the Roszel Family in Canada.
Charles Roszel came to Canada from the USA some time around the late 1790's, settling in what was the Gainsborough area of Lincoln District of Upper Canada.
